All current travel players are invited to participate in the Travel Basketball Spring Open Gym program. Open Gyms are sessions where players compete in pick up basketball games organized by CCYB travel coaches and CCHS coaching staff. These are not practices and the purpose of the Open Gym is for players to learn from each other and the game. While good attendance is encouraged, players do not have to attend all Open Gyms to sign up for the program.

School Advisory Council Sponsors “Caring for All of Our Kids”
Have you ever wondered how teachers and parents can better support children with challenging behaviors? On Saturday March 8, the School Advisory Council is sponsoring a talk by Dr. Nancy Rappaport, renowned child psychiatrist and co-author of “The Behavior Code.” Rappaport met with Carlisle school faculty twice this year to teach new ways to understand student behavior and to develop an approach that allows all students to succeed. Titled “Caring for All of Our Kids,” the free event offers parents, caregivers, and community members the unique opportunity to hear about Rappaport’s groundbreaking approach and to learn the same strategies that were presented to the faculty. Rappaport will be on hand after the presentation to sell and autograph copies of her book.
The event, which is generously funded by the Carlisle School Association, is from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Corey Auditorium. It is free and open to the public. Beginning at 8:45 a.m., there will be free onsite childcare provided by The Red Balloon Preschool. The childcare is open to children (potty-trained to grade 5) from Carlisle and Concord. Registration for the event is strongly encouraged, and registration for childcare is required. The registration form is available at www.carlisle.k12.ma.us or http://www.carlisleschoolassociation.org. For more information, contact Dr. Dennet Sidell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Billerica Hoops are taking registrations for boys grade 3-10. The Billerica Hoops season starts March 30th and runs through June with games on Sunday’s and outdoor practices during the week at the Lampson courts. Last year we sold out the maximum amount of players so don’t get waitlisted and miss out on the fun.
The early bird cost of the league until February 15th is $100 then bumps to $110. That’s less than $10 a week for 11 weeks of basketball and Team jerseys are included. If you are interested in coaching please let me know and I will add you to the list.
We are offering a travel option for the girls that consists of two games a week plus a one hour indoor practice. The girls will be getting 18+ basketball games and full uniforms. the girls will be joining an outside league we are hoping to have the games on Sundays.
Please forward this to anyone you think would like to play.
